TSUSHIMAMIRE New Digital Single "Oversized American Dreams" Out Today!

TSUSHIMAMIRE releases new digital single "Oversized American Dreams" ahead of their US tour starting May 22!

Starting with the lyrics, "Unbearable dreams, feelings, and heavy, oversized luggage," this song explores the theme of "baggage" (Onimotsu)—both physical and emotional—that the band has carried throughout their extensive history of international touring. Travel gear, irreplaceable experiences, relationships, joys, and hardships: in the world of TSUSHIMAMIRE, these are all "baggage" that swells into an oversized American dream.

[Song Description]

Celebrating their 27th anniversary, TSUSHIMAMIRE brings a powerful message from the road: "OVERSIZED AMERICAN DREAMS."

The band’s very first tour was in the United States. While being bathed in cheers in a foreign land, they felt a profound truth: heavy luggage can be a burden, but it is also incredibly precious—something that must be carried forward. That raw feeling from their early days has finally been transformed into a song.

"Baggage" (Onimotsu) here refers not just to suitcases, but to the weight of human relationships and the shared emotions of a lifetime. The song captures the band's essence: their ability to turn sorrow into laughter and strength. With a driving rhythm, cool shifting melodies, and cynical yet deeply sincere lyrics, the repeated chant of "ONIMOTSU-DA" (It’s baggage!) is impossible not to hum along to. Let this song take over your heart and soul.

World Tour Schedule Unveiled! 63 Shows Across 55 Cities in Australia, US, Europe, and Japan.

Anticipation is at an all-time high as the band prepares to hit 27 cities in the US (including one in Canada) this May, followed by Europe in August, before returning home.

Mari (Vocal & Guitar)

"We’ve created a song that truly tells the story of our 27 years. It’s funny, cool, and overwhelming. Heavy baggage can be a burden, but it’s also an uncontrollable passion and a massive dream. I’m living my life today while carrying it all! I want to change your world with the music only we can make. See you on the Japan tour—you have to be there!"

Yayoi (Bass)

"27 years of TSUSHIMAMIRE! 27 years ago, I never imagined I’d still be doing this... Even now, I keep running with ever-growing dreams, not even knowing how to look back and reflect. TSUSHIMAMIRE in 2026 is still carrying heavy baggage and anxiety, but we are overflowing with the confidence and joy of delivering the best songs and the best live shows. I love this band because the three of us share the weight, share the joy, and laugh at the most ridiculous things. You’ll feel that spirit in this song and at our shows. I hope you’ll share in our big dream!"

Asami (Drums)

"I’m so excited to release a song that overflows with the core energy of TSUSHIMAMIRE! I joined last year for the 26th anniversary, and when I play this song, my soul resonates with the band's long history. It gives me an explosive rock 'n' roll vibe to carve out the future. I want to share that feeling with everyone on this tour. I can’t wait to meet you!"
